Last weekend, podcasters from around the world descended on Ontario, CA for the third annual Podcast and New Media Expo. This year was different, because a third day was added to the schedule, Sunday. Since I know the show’s organizer, Tim Bourquin, I asked him if we might have a worship service on Sunday morning. He very graciously gave his permission, and even better than that, he provided a room for the service and the audio visual engineers at the convention center as well. so we had all the equipment we needed for sound and lights and a projector included. How cool is that?

I invited Miss Karmyn Tyler to come and sing some worship songs for us, and she accepted the invitation. Thank you so much, Karmyn. My son Matt Webb, of the group Exploder, got permission from his church worship director, where he normally plays bass on Sunday mornings, to come and accompany Karmyn on the guitar.

For the preaching, I asked the Rev. Jimmie Bratcher, one of the first artists I ever played on my Lifespring show, way back in November, 2004, to come out from his home in Kansas City, MO. Jimmie is an awesome blues/rock guitar player and songwriter, and a fine preacher, too. Jimmie cane with a heart for ministry, not because he was being paid, because I had nothing to offer him in that regard. Obviously, making the trek from Kansas city, MO, to Ontario, CA is no small commitment, especially when you consider that he brought two of his band members to play for the Friday night concert, and then a concert at my church on Sunday evening. Jimmie, may God bless you real good for your sacrifice, brother.

Jimmie played three or four songs before bringing the message.
